Turns out the Player.cs has four values for each type of damage (e.g meleeCrit, rangedCrit) which all start at a value of 4. That value is added to a weapons.crit to create the total critical strike chance, but the player's base critical values can be affected by potions, armor, and the like if they decide to equip it.
On Zone Chat today, I asked this same question. The conversation went something like this: Me: What is weapon crit and how does it work? Zone Chat: It causes more damage. Me: How? Zone Chat: It doesn't cause more damage. It just increases the likelihood of causing damage. Zone Chat: Wait, what? Crit causes damage. Me: But how does it work?? Zone Chat: Crit increases your ability to cause more damage. Me: What does that even mean? By a percentage? Zone Chat: Are you a nightblade? Me: No. Why? Zone Chat: Because only nightblades benefit from WC. So don't worry about it. Me: Why would only nightblades benefit from weapon crit? Zone Chat: Don't listen to him. Everyone benefits. Nightblades just benefit more. Zone Chat: You're an idiot. Zone Chat: Oh yeah? Well so's your MOM! Zone Chat: You dissing my mom?? Well, you're dad's an &%*$$#@!! *** So that's the answer I got. No exaggeration (just a bit of artistic license so I could clean up the profanity and leave out the 'Looking for group,' 'Want to join my super-cool guild', and 'I need some attention now' chats). Seriously, can anyone actually explain this? When I drink a potion that gives me a 400 weapon crit buff for 12 seconds, what does that actually mean? Does it mean I instant kill or does it cause more damage and why do only nightblades need it? Am I wasting my time brewing weapon crit potions? What's the best way to take advantage of weapon crit? Thanks for any help!!
Nov 15, 2013 with weapons though, that can't pierce or hit multiple enemies, you really more than 30% crit chance to be super effective. (30% is enough crit chance for me to be honest, but that's pure preference) I'd like to go for more damage on weapons that. If you have to choose, then 2% damage bonus is always better than any crit bonus. 4% crit is still better than 1% extra damage. As an aside, the sharktooth necklaces' defense reduction is worth about 10% damage bonus or 20% crit bonus and greatly enhances the efficiency of both damage and crit modifiers. Therefore, I wish to ask the community here their opinion on a crit damage rune page vs a crit chance rune page? I like to have a good high crit chance so that of course I can crit. But then of course more damage means more damage.

Introduction
Hi, i'm Falling Zebra. i have been playing AD attack speed bard for a few months. I thought it wasn't fair that people didn't realize the power that was locked inside of bard. I have over 999 wins on AD attack speed bard.
Items
When you are using this build on bard, you are going to want to start with a long sword and 3 biscuits. The long long sword will give you the damage you need to sustain in lane. Your first full item should be a statikk shiv for wave clear, crit, and attack speed. For boots you should go mercs, berzerker's, or CDR. Your core consists of an IE and a rageblade. this give you more damage/crit plus the attack speed from the rageblade stacks. I prefer to take runaans over PD because thyour meeps apply to the bolts from runaans. PD also works if you would like some extra crit chance. Next is the BORK. The BORK gives you the life steal to help you sustain in late game, and it also gives you some extra attack speed to cap out with full rageblade stacks. The situational items are there to replace the BORK in case you dont need it in a matchup.

Crit Chance Vs Dmg Terraria Pc
This build supports more of an aggressive play style. If you can get ahead and get your shiv, you should do fine in lane. However, if you do get behind, play semi-aggressive and take every opportunity to get a kill to level out with your opponent.
Team Fights
With this build you are going to want to stay near the back line during team fights. Your ultimate allows you to stop low enemies from escaping. Your Ultimate can be difficult to hit but it is not something that practice cannot perfect. Ty to only fight when you have your meeps available. Your meeps are a huge factor in your auto attack damage. If your team engages without you in a team fight, you can use your magical journey to flank into the enemy back line and shred their squishies. Depending on how well you are doing, you should take you 3-6 auto attacks (3 being all crits, 6 being no crits) to kill an ADC.
Conclusion
This build is god tier. Shred squishies, win freelo, it's that simple. Please give me some feedback on my build in the comments. I would like to hear your thoughts on this bard build.
